“What’s New” is an add-on for Jira by Atlassian, created to allow Jira admins to create notifications to users.

 

How it Works?

Go to the "Add-ons" page in the admin section (must be Jira admin to access this).

Look for "What is New" in the left panel, click "Notify on new features" under it.

 

Set Notification

Write anything you like in the text box, you can add links, images, tables and more…

You can click “Preview” to see how the notification will look to users before actually publishing it.

Once you finish and all looks good, click “save” to publish the notification.

See History (previous notifications)

In the top Nav menu, click on the “?” icon in the right, click on it.

In the menu that opened, click “What is New”, this will open a page with all historical notifications.
